A worker was killed in a workplace accident in Malcesine, near Verona, when a raft transporting a crane along Lake Garda overturned in the early afternoon. The raft struck the worker, who died from severe injuries.
Emergency medical teams, including an air ambulance, attended the scene alongside firefighters, Carabinieri, the Coast Guard and inspectors from the Spisal workplace safety service of the Ulss 9 Scaligera health authority. Investigators are expected to establish how the accident happened.
