Barcelona-based smart TV operating system developer Titan OS has raised $46 million in a mix of equity and debt financing. The company said the funding will support more partnerships and expansion into additional markets.
The debt facilities were provided by funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, with existing investors Highland Europe and Mangrove Capital Partners also participating. Titan OS raised $58 million last year, bringing its total funding to $110 million.
Titan OS says its software gives TV manufacturers opportunities to earn revenue after a device sale through partnerships with free ad-supported streaming TV channels and advertising across the platform. The company now reaches 30 million users, compared with 18 million a year ago. It also works with TiVo as a sales partner in some regions and with Tubi in the UK.
Since last year, Titan OS has added Sharp, AOC, Vestel and Skyworth as partners. Philips has also adopted the platform for its 2026 models, replacing Google TV. The company says its broader reach helps it offer advertisers a larger footprint and audience engagement data.
Titan OS plans to use the new funding to improve content discovery, an area where it says viewers can spend a long time searching for something to watch. It is working on interface changes and AI features, while also seeking partnerships with more content providers, including FAST channels. The company says its role is to help users find content without promoting a service of its own.
It is also applying AI to ad recommendations and audience segmentation. The company has grown to 250 employees over the past year and opened a London office focused on advertising, joining existing offices in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Taipei. Its executives say TV makers are increasingly interested in revenue-sharing opportunities as hardware costs rise and device sales slow.
