Supermarket fridges and freezers in several European countries have malfunctioned after a reported Cyberattack remotely raised their thermostats. It is not clear who was behind the incident or how many stores were affected.

The European Union condemned what it described as a deliberate attempt to disrupt the food supply. The reported attack comes as the UK’s cybersecurity body warns that AI-powered malicious software is highly likely to be used in attacks against the country’s power stations, airports and hospitals by 2028.
