Snap has surpassed 30 million paid subscribers across Snapchat+, Memories Storage and Lens+, the company said Wednesday in its third-quarter 2026 earnings release. The figure is five million higher than the 25 million subscribers Snap reported in February.

Launched in 2022, Snapchat+ costs $3.99 per month and provides access to exclusive and early-release features. Snap has since added other paid options, including Lens+ at $8.99 per month, with exclusive lenses and augmented-reality experiences, and Snapchat+ Platinum, a $15.99 monthly plan that removes ads.

The milestone follows Snapchat’s announcement a year ago that it would limit free storage for its Memories feature. Users were told they would need to pay $1.99 per month for additional storage or subscribe to Snapchat+ to keep their Memories.

Snap CEO Evan Spiegel told investors that AI-powered features had helped Lens+ perform beyond the company’s expectations. He also said paid subscribers remain a small portion of Snapchat’s monthly community, leaving room for growth through wider adoption and new premium features.

Snap reported 495 million daily active users for the quarter, up from 493 million in the prior quarter but below analysts’ estimate of 499 million. The company’s shares fell 12% after it missed expectations for advertising revenue and user growth. Spiegel said Snap plans to focus on improving advertising performance and expanding how businesses can reach its users.
