Nothing CEO Carl Pei says the company’s first “AI-native product” will ship in December. The startup has not yet disclosed what the device is, describing it as a productivity tool with no new screen and saying it could not have been made as an app.

In a post on X, Pei said the product would reflect the personality and care associated with Nothing’s products. He also suggested it should not be viewed as another attempt to create an AI wearable, contrasting it with ideas such as pendants, pins and glasses.

Nothing has previously said it plans to release AI-linked smart glasses and earbuds with AI integrations. Whether either product is connected to the December launch remains unclear. The company has not provided a firm release date, and Pei’s announcement did not identify the product’s form or capabilities.
