Democrat Adam Hamilton has defeated Republican Roger Marshall in the Kansas Senate race, marking the first time since 1932 that a Democrat has won a Senate seat in the state, the report says.
Marshall had the support of the US president. The result contrasts with the presidential election, in which Donald Trump carried Kansas by more than 16 percentage points.
