CrowdStrike is acquiring Fiddler AI and Dreadnode in deals worth nearly $500 million combined, expanding its tools for monitoring AI agents and testing AI systems for security flaws.
Fiddler AI develops software that helps enterprises observe and monitor AI agents. Dreadnode automates security testing for AI models, applications and agents, aiming to identify weaknesses before they are deployed. The Wall Street Journal reported that CrowdStrike is paying about $400 million for Fiddler AI and roughly $95 million for Dreadnode.
Fiddler AI’s technology is set to join CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform as Falcon Observe. It will help customers assess agents before deployment, track their actions and provide information to the wider platform. Dreadnode’s testing capabilities will be integrated into Falcon Guardian, with results feeding into security policy recommendations.
The acquisitions add to CrowdStrike’s efforts to help organizations understand and secure the growing use of AI tools and agents. The company has been developing Falcon Guardian to help customers see what agents are doing on their devices.
Founded in 2018, Fiddler AI has raised about $99 million, according to PitchBook. Dreadnode, founded in 2023, has raised $14 million.
